Thank you for making this a wonderful year. I was able to quit my job, do my own part time legal business, experience a successful three months of poker in that short time, and end the year with a great big cash in the UB 200k tonight, December 23rd. I am happy with my life and I wish for the status quo- which is financial comfort, a loving relationship, and a very happy and healthy family. These are the things which are necessary in life. And I feel like I have accomplished that. I was never happy with the status quo, but now I am.
Within that, I do not mean that I want to be stagnant. I still would like to grow into a better person, a better poker player, a better daughter and sister, and a better best friend for my boyfriend, Jonathan. And I will do that. My New Years Resolution in life is to be more patient. Do not get short with my mother; take 10-15 sec before each decision in poker; be more calm and don't get heated at dumb people, bc in the end, they can't help their dumbness, its how they were born/raised. I want to be more healthy, work out more and eat the right foods. I want to be a better saver, put money away for a rainy day. And I will. I will read this blog entry every week and remind myself of all that I want to accomplish.
In the last five months, I have stepped up my poker game, and specifically my tournament game, several notches. I will be one of the best; I will win the Ladies Only WSOP event; I will cash several times next year and I will have a lot of fun doing it.
I will be 30 in less than 2 weeks. And I am looking forward to it. I am looking forward to being 30 and not having to work a real job because I am living my dream. Playing poker almost full time; being with my best friend all the time and thoroughly enjoying life and each day as it comes. I am no longer going to be stressed out by the deadlines that come with being a full time attorney; I will just be me. A professional poker player. A part time attorney. And hopefully, a good friend, girlfriend, daughter and sister. That's all I care about for 2008.
I know this is a long post. In the next ones, I will list my goals and aspirations for the new year.
Lastly a great big shout out to HAZY CAT, CRFRIDER0250, HUGEHEATFAN, SONOFA_NH and COOLER KING, and OSTRICHMAN (esp ostrichman, my little baby), 49AQUA, LA GATTA, __KRYPTIC__, ELKHUNTER, TRICKIVICKI and everyone else who watched and supported me tonight, the railbirding was awesome- THANKS, UR THE BEST!!!!!!
